A studio built around one contract
Most interiors in Pune are assembled from parts. A designer draws, a contractor builds, an electrician is found, a plumber is found after that, and the client spends a year holding the pieces together. Ashtakon exists because that job — the holding together — is the one worth paying for.
How the practice works
- 01
The drawing comes first
Layouts, service routes and joinery are drawn and agreed before anything is ordered. A decision made on a drawing costs a pencil; the same decision made on site costs a wall.
- 02
One contract, start to keys
Civil, structural, furniture, electrical, plumbing, painting and handover sit inside one agreement. There is no seam between trades for a problem to fall through.
- 03
Drawn for the room it is in
Nothing is specified from a catalogue of standard units. Every plan answers the carpet area, the light, and the family that will live in it.
- 04
The same person throughout
Saiprasad Shelke runs each project himself, from the first measurement to the last snag. No handover to a project manager you have not met.

This block is reserved for Saiprasad Shelke's background — training, years in practice, and the work he is known for. It is deliberately blank: none of it has been supplied, and inventing it on a live business page would put words in his mouth. Send the text and it goes straight in.
